How it Works?

This is our Simple Six Step System to make sure the process is Stress-Free for you.

1. SIGN UP – Fill out the registration page and purchase a $30 supply kit

2. GET BOXES – Our office will contact you via phone or email to arrange your supply kit delivery to campus.

3. PACK & LABEL – See packing tips and instructions for step by step instructions on the safest ways to pack and label your boxes

4. WE PICK UP – At your scheduled pick up time we pick up your boxes directly from your front door.

5. WE STORE – See items we store in a local, climate controlled, secure storage facility. See Storage and Shipping rates.

6. WE DELIVER – At your scheduled delivery time we bring your boxes directly to your front door.


Need some of your boxes Shipped home? NOT A PROBLEM

Have your boxes packed and addressed properly. We will pick them up from you at your scheduled time and ship them for you. Can’t get much easier than that. Door to Door service!

We are sorry for the inconvenience but we do not ship furniture or anything UNBOXED (Bikes, Beds, Dressers, Sofas, Lamps etc…)


Pickup – When you sign up for our service you will be asked to request a pick up date and window (Morning pick up 8a-2p or Afternoon pick up 1p-7p). On the day of your scheduled pick up please give us a call when you are completely packed and we should be able to give a better idea on what time we will arrive at your dorm. It is IMPORTANT that you schedule your pick up the day BEFORE your flight. You do not want to risk missing your plane! If you leave your belongings in your room we will not pick them up without a written request allowing for your designated representative to sign at the time of pick up. This is as simple as you sending a a quick email letting us know who is going to be the responsible party at the time of pick up. The pick up should take no longer the 5-10 minutes of your time.

Delivery – We will contact you via phone or email during July to set up a time and location for your delivery. If your contact information has changed during this time then please email or call with the updated information. If you are not present during your designated delivery time we will bring your belongings back to the warehouse and the Customer will have to reschedule the delivery. If this happens, the Customer will be responsible for paying a redelivery fee and or a missed pickup fee.


Insurance is the responsibility of the customer. Coverage is offered at the rate of $4 for every $100 of coverage maximum of $500 of coverage is available for purchase for each customer. Keep in mind that Summertime Storage is not responsible for any items that are not insured.

Damaged items must have evidence of physical damage to the exterior packaging of the item. Summertime Storage cannot be held liable for concealed damage to items within a carton, trunk or other casing without physical damage to the exterior of the package.

To the extent that the Customer does not declare full value of the Customer’s personal property stored or shipped with Summertime Storage, the Customer hereby agrees to assume all risk of loss, including damage or loss by burglary, fire, flood, vandalism, vermin or act of God.

**All Insurance Claims are due immediately upon delivery of items**
